Micheal Jackson body borne in golden coffin

The body of Michael Jackson, borne in a golden coffin, was placed into a black hearse Tuesday to carry the late pop icon from a Los Angeles cemetery to a public memorial service.

The coffin, covered by a huge spray of red flowers, was placed into the waiting hearse after a private farewell at the Forest Lawn cemetery, attended by scores of Jackson's family and friends.

According to the TMZ.com celebrity website, the casket is a $25,000 14-karat gold plated custom model, made of solid bronze.
