Watch 34th Annual Toronto International Film Festival Live Online Stream. Hollywood once again takes over the streets of Toronto with celebrities and stargazers when TIFF 2009 live online rolls into town in September 10-19. Familiar Hollywood faces fill up Toronto for 10 days, along with hundreds of fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars.
Several Hollywood blockbusters have been featured at this popular festival in the past, including Brokeback Mountain, Walk the Line and Hotel Rwanda. This year's festival includes 26 international selections. One of the films is by filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira and is called Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl. Another movie is from Japan, called Air Doll, and is about a blow-up doll that becomes a real person.
New this year is the launch of City to City. The City to City program is about the exploration of the urban experience by looking at films from and about selected cities. The inaugural spotlight looks at Tel Aviv. Films for this spotlight have yet to be selected. The hope is to create a public forum with filmmakers and thinkers.
This year there is a festival box office at both Nathan Phillips Square and at Roy Thomson Hall . The Roy Thomson Hall hosts Opening Night, Closing Night and Gala Presentations. Elgin Theatre hosts the Visa Screening Room which has both special presentations and other premium screenings.
