The 2009 Heisman Finalists finally announced last Monday night on ESPN. There were 5 finalist from different teams to be awarded on Saturday in ESPN. The 1987 Heisman winner Tim Brown and a Woodrow Wilson product announced the said awards.
Colt McCoy, Texas quarterback
-McCoy won the 2008 Walter Camp Award and was the 2008 Heisman Trophy runner-up.
Mark Ingram Jr., Alabama running back
-Mark Ingram, Jr. is the son of former NFL wide receiver Mark Ingram, Sr.
Toby Gerhart, Stanford running back
-Gerhart is considered a top prospect in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska defensive tackle
-Widely considered the best prospect available in the 2010 NFL Draft. Suh is seen as either a defensive end in a 3-4 defense or as a three-technique or nose tackle in a 4-3 NFL defense.
Tim Tebow, Florida quarterback
-A Heisman Trophy-winning American football quarterback for the Florida Gators. He was the first college football player to both rush and pass for 20 touchdowns in a season and was the first sophomore to win the Heisman.
