Colt McCoy Injury update Texas vs Alabama BCS National Championship Game



   

After Colt McCoy the quarterback of University Of Texas was injured first drive of tonight's BCS Championship game against Alabama was not able to return to the game.

Many fans ask what happened to Colt McCoy?, right after he was injured McCoy was taken to the locker room to be examined by Longhorn medical staff. Then it was not clear enough if he can play the game again. But after a moment of examination, they found out that McCoy has a right shoulder injury and will be re-evaluated at halftime. He was 2-of-2 for nine yards when he was injured.

Texas took a 3-0 lead later on the first series, but Alabama lead 14-6 in the second quarter. Then a Freshman Garrett Gilbert took over for Texas and has struggled against Alabama. After that, Alabama took advantage of the good position in the field and moved the ball consistently on the play.

Colt McCoy’s injury wasn’t serious enough to send him to the hospital but he could not play during the rest of the game. With a 13-0 record, the injury could cost his team their unbeaten streak.

The result of Colt McCoy’s x-rays are said to be negative and that houlder injury could be a sprain.
