Physician Board Exam August 2008 Results



   


Total of 1,513 out of 2,506 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine this month, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Thursday evening.

Marlon Diaz Garcia, a graduate of the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, topped the test with a rating of 88.75 percent.

The University of the Philippines-Manila has the highest passing rate among schools with 100 or more examinees at 98 percent. Only three test-takers failed to pass the exam.

It was followed by the University of Santo Tomas at 95 percent, or only 14 flunkers. The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila came next at 89 percent or 11 unsuccessful examinees.

The successful examinees will take their oath before the Board of Medicine on September 14, 1:30 p.m. at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila.
