Watch MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 Live Online Streaming. The award show will be presented by Katy Perry. It will be the fourth time that the Awards will be held in Germany, with the show returning to the city where it was launched in 1994 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards will be held in front of the Brandenburg Gate and at Berlin's new O2 World Arena. The new arena opened in September 2008, and is one of the most modern venues in the world. Nominations for the regional awards were announced on 1 September 2009. Pete Wentz will host the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards Live webcast, featuring backstage gossip, interviews and much more.

Though the awards are seen as Europe's premiere music event few European artists have received nominations in key categories. The majority of nominations are American artists, some European countries which dominate in key categories include the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, France and Germany.
